I have red roses in potted plants in balcony in Kolkata. But it is raining heavily in the end of October. This is harmful for roses. The plants are in the form of shrubs, light water and sunlight are essential for growth. From the time the rain has started the flowers are drooping. Kolkata is only 160 kilometers away from Bay of Bengal. So the sea influence leads to frequent depressions and rain. It is sorry state of affairs.

That flower in the picture is beautiful and so sad that the heavy rain harms them.

Do you grow just roses or other flowers as well? Is the rain harmful to other flowers as well?

Thanks Kokilji as you stay in Agra there is no coastal influence. Rain has proved spoilsport for our diwali in Kolkata.
