Maleficent is the most real fairy tale.

Took my time off with my daughter this afternoon to watch Disney's Maleficent. After the first installment, the sequel is a definite must see.
Maleficent is no fairy tale princess story, Although the plot adopts the tale of Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent does not showcase a damsel-in-distress such as that of Cinderella andSnow White. Our princess in the story, Princess Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty, takes the second fiddle in the story.
And who is our main character?
The supposedly evil nemesis, or the villain - Maleficent.
If in the first tale we learned about the childhood of Maleficent and her friendship with the future king who betrayed her, the second tale divulges the origin of the almost foundling-like Maleficent lost in the moor,
Wow, what a tremendous presentation of a fairy tale Disney has given us. It is Shakespearean in almost every way. It's the Midsummer Night's Dream - royal and regal.
All elements in play, thus recommended highly.
Angelina Jolie, you essayed the role perfectly - with beauty and grace. Love you. Commending Michelle Pfeiffer, too.

@louievill The horror stories are real scary. Conjuring and Crucible are out to mentally torture us. I could endure Sleepy Hollow and Red Riding Hood, sorry, neighbors for the screams.
Not interested in the Game of Thrones though my sister is egging me to watch. Had enough of Hunger Games and 1984, Spartacus and Vikings,
Will check out Chernobyl. Can't remember if it's a documentary I watched about it long time ago.
Maleficent is for big kids like me. Hope you enjoy it. It's Disney minus the music.

@eileenleyva I saw conjuring, the Chernobyl documentary is different.
You should listen to your sister, GOT is a lot different from all those we had seen like Spartacus, 300 Spartans etc...( They are good movies) It's something that sticks and you would fall in love with but I must warn you that once you start it you would want to finish it to the end like a good read novel, don't take my word for it, ask your sister, it's habit forming

A most wonderful fairy tale. The scriptwriters need an award for this. A real good pan away from the over used prince/princess pattern.
Wait for the goat. It's the most hilarious shock that Maleficent ever did. Definitely Greatest Of All Time. Ha ha
