Day 84
Promise 113
1 Samuel 12:22 For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people. (KJV)
Have you ever felt as though everyone abandoned you, family and friends? Have you felt alone in a dark place in your life and thought you would never see good come your way again?
Israel had come to Samuel and asked him to give them a king so they would be like all the other nations with someone to lead them in the battle against their enemies. Samuel told the people what a king would do to them, the oppression the king would put them under. Yet the people insisted on a king, and Samuel gave them a king, Saul. And as he did so, Samuel reminded the people that the Lord had never forsaken His people, and it pleased Him to make them His people.
As Christians, you know God will never abandon you but will lead you in the way you should go. In the darkest hour of your soul, you can reach out to God and He will show Himself mighty. You have nothing to fear when God is on your side.
Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. (KJV)
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV)
God is with you. You are never alone.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you I am never alone. Show me the way You have for me. Lead me and I will follow. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
