J.R Ward writes the most amazing series called the Black Dagger Brotherhood. It's a vampire series with lots of action and some romance in it. Lover Mine in the 8th book in the series and is John Michael's story. Each book is centered on a different character but has an ongoing central plot. John Michael is an orphan and had a very harsh upbringing. When Mary had taken him in, she didn't realize he was a vampire but thankfully the Black Dagger Brotherhood did. They took him in way back in book two, I believe, Rhage and Mary's story. In book 8, John Michael has gone through his transition and is now a full fledged vampire. When he started frequenting a club called Zero Sum, J.M gets a crush on the head security guard there. Xhex is half sympath which makes her out of place. If her sympath sude is found out by the Brotherhood, they'll send her to live with a colony of full fledged sympaths and that would be worse than bad. Life with her boss and friend, Rhev isn't bad and she's content with her life. While helping the Brotherhood save Rhev, she gets kidnapped by the big baddie, Lash. During this time, J.M figures out exactly what he feels for her not that it mattered. J.M will stop at nothing to get her back and when he does, he'll make sure she's okay and then let her walk away. The only problem is, they can't find her. Lash has done an A plus job of hiding her. Lash on the other hand isn't doing so hot. Gaining the disapproval of his father and biggest baddie of all, The Omega, Lash is loosing power and well everything. He's literally becoming a pile of black goo which is just ewww lol. So many questions in this book. What is happening to Lash? Will J.M find Xhex before ash does something to her? Will Xhex accept J.M's love for her or walk away? In this one, you even find out about some of Xhex's past and get introduced to a new vampire that will appear later in the series, Mhurder. If you like paranormal series, I would recommend this one. J.R Ward is a master of the writing craft and she will keep you hooked from page one. *image from google*

@samysotelo18 The last one we went to was Readers on the River. It was a two day event and signing thing. Soooo much fun. She does her own release signings though as well. Usually in August I think in Cincinnati
