This morning I went out shopping and I found this on a charity table in my local supermarket. This is where people leave books that they no longer want, and you can buy them if you leave a donation in the charity tin. I was attracted to the book by the cover and because I always wanted to read Cosmopolitan magazine but I always found it was one of those mags that cost too much for my budget.
The book description gives a brief history of the magazine and it contains pictures and articles from actual magazines of the 1970s and 80s. I will sit down later and have a good read of it and I can transport myself back to the days of my youth. I am particularly looking forward to seeing the fashions and hairstyles of that time.

I like buying books like this because the money goes to a good cause.

Pre internet age I used to salivate over buying Cosmo magazine. It wows me that people are getting rid of these magazines and you can get a copy for cents.

The first issue of this magazine went on sale in March 1972 and by lunchtime on the first day it had sold out.
