Continue the mission, as we say in the army. In this case, the mission being this countdown, in no particular order, of 50 songs with "of" in the title. We are at #24: "Weapons of Love" by The Truth.
I know, "Who the bloody hell is The Truth?" The Truth are a bloody British rock band formed by vocalists/guitarists Dennis Greaves and Mick Lister in 1982, had a seven year run, and reformed in 2012, existing now as a live outfit. And while Greaves and Lister have been the group's only constants, other notable members include bassist Brian Bethell, who would later become part of the Blow Monkeys, and drummer Gary Wallis, who has worked with the likes of Pink Floyd, 10cc, Paul Carrack, Dusty Springfield, Bonnie Tyler, Tom Jones, and Mike + The Mechanics.
Basically, The Truth was a good, solid 80's band that might not have stood out among shooting stars of that decade such as, say, Duran Duran, Def Leppard, or U2, but they did put out good music and probably deserved more recognition than they received.
"Weapons of Love" was their most successful single, reaching #61 in Canada, #7 on the Billboard Rock Tracks chart, and #65 on the Hot 100.
An underrated, fondly-remembered 80's gem!

Oh so righteously 80s! Let's step into the time machine and go back!

This would make a great soundtrack song. I never really even noticed that until a new show played some 80's rock. It just fits. I am like how neat.

Funny that you should mention that. It was used in a 1987 sci-fi-horror film called The Hidden. Really good soundtrack: this, Lords of the New Church, Hunters & Collectors, Concrete Blonde.

Wow, I can't tell you how long it's been since I heard this! I'm pretty sure I didn't have gray hair then.
Excellent song!

I would hope not! Although I do know a couple of people that went gray very young.

They probably should have been more popular than they were. Good band.

@Ronrybs - I know. Right time, right place, a bit of luck, the record label getting behind one band while leaving another out to dry for whatever reason. Weird.

@teamfreak16 Strange how that works out. Some groups, to me, seem pretty average and they go on to great things, while original and excellent groups never get traction

I'm going to have to try and come up with as many songs by HeArT with of in them as I can.

Good idea. I got to see them back in the early 2000's. They were great!
