My old boss loves the place even though I do think he has ever been. I have another drive by. Funny how everything looks so peaceful when drive by. Its also funny how you in in middle of now where and can see big city. Cali is not flat and so crowded little towns can be in front of big towns. Just like Ohio. You can clearly see Oklahoma city from the free way. Do not even have to drive though it Is that the state capital? I do not know ask whether man they get so many tornado's. I make bad jokes but not sure if that is even funny. Moving on state capital is Oklahoma city. I feel vindicated for some reason. Another state I know is punk or excepts punk. These guys do a killer Rancid song but to me their best is Live from The Rock Room. Oklahoma clearly passes the punk test.

I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma (2 hours from OK city) I experienced tornados as a child and I'm absolutely terrified of tornadoes now as an adult. My earliest memory of a tornado was when my family and I were driving on the highway (we were not warned of the tornado) and the rain was coming down so hard that my dad couldn't see even with windshield wipers rapidly moving back and forth. My mom was frantic and she told my dad to pull over and my dad looks at her and says "i already did" The winds were so strong that our vehicle was being pushed. We all huddled in our van together and waited for it to pass. I'm not sure how much time went by but when everything stopped, we got out of our car and there was debris everywhere and there were cars in disarray all over the highway. The strangest thing was that most vehicles had shattered windows but we were one of few with intact windows. Needless to say it was a terrifying situation and I was younger than 10 at the time. Anyway I hope you enjoyed my random tornado story LOL and yes, Oklahoma City is the capital of Oklahoma.

Loved it and to be honest out of all America from the freeway. that city is so open. not sure how it is now. 87 that was. It was just weird there is nothing here and over here big old city. Not sure if right or wrong but Kansas city protected by buildings. St.Louis protected by St.Charles. Oklahoma City was just a city out in the middle of nothing without anything protecting it. It was really one of the strangest memories I have in my head. Kansas City has suburbs also, Oklahoma city looked to say we all or nothing.

@crossbones27 I moved to kansas city about 10 years ago but I visited Tulsa a few years back and its changed a lot. It's a lot more crowded than it was when I was growing up. Kansas city is nice but oklahoma will always have my heart. I do think your right about kansas city being protected by buildings, at least I hope so lol
