National Men Make Dinner Day - This is a day late, ladies; but tell your husband it's on the 8th. lol Notary Public Day 1492 - The oldest meteorite with a known date of impact strikes the Earth around noon in a wheat field outside of the Village of Ensisheim, Alsace, France. 1893 - Women's Suffrage (the right to vote) in the U.S. State of Colorado is granted. This is the second state to do so. 1867 - Marie Curie was born. She was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the only woman to win it twice and the only person to win the Nobel Prize in two different scientific fields. She was also the first woman professor at the University of Paris. She died in 1934 from aplastic anemia caused by her exposure to radiation. 1957 - Christopher Knight was born. He is an American actor, comedian and businessman. He has become a very successful businessman. He was best known for the role of Peter Brady in the 1970s series The Brady Bunch.
