Day 96 Promise 127 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. Does it seem like everything is against you and you need a breakthrough in your life? Jabez was one of many listed in the genealogy of Israel. He wanted God’s blessing on his life and called on God for that blessing. He didn’t limit the blessing but was bold and God granted his request. God’s hand isn’t short with His people. As Christians, we limit God’s blessings in our life. Rarely do we think outside the box. Yet, God wants us to ask so He will bless. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. That’s what I was told all my life. Jesus told the people to ask. Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it. Jabez got bold with his request of God. You need to become bold too. God wants to bless you just as He did Jabez. His blessings are part of His promises to you. Let’s pray: Father, help me ask for the blessings You want to give me. Let me be bold in my request because You want to bless my life and crown it with goodness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
