And now....the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Yes, I’m sure that everyone had this song pegged as being part of the current series of songs with “highway” in the title, part of my “road trip” countdowns, looking at songs with “travel” and various types of byways (highways, roads, etc.). Strike up the band, crank up the speakers, and here we go! #6: Highway Star - Deep Purple See you tomorrow. And anyone who wasn’t expecting this, please report to Scar’s Hoomin for some rock and roll 101. I’ve mentioned that I’m not much on Sam Halen’s first singer, because to me he tried — unsuccessfully — to mimic Ian Gillan in this song. Oh, that’s just me, I know.
