I got home close to 5 p.m. I think. I got to work, and the teacher that wasn't feeling well went home, and then I did pretty much what she did all day, except for closing the center, another teacher did that.
I caught the bus after having to wait about 15 minutes, and then got off at the shopping center stop. I saw that the bus I needed would not be there for almost half an hour, so after waiting a few minutes, I said "the heck with it" and walked home.
Once I got home, I walked and fed Angel, and after I post this I need to go and get myself something to eat and pay some bills.
My boss said she would call to see whether or not they would need me at the center tomorrow (depending on whether the teacher who went home is feeling any better), but she hasn't called yet. The way I feel right now I'm kind of hoping she calls and says the teacher is feeling better, but if not I could use the money, so six of one half a dozen of the other.

I'm in exactly the same situation. I was supposed to work with the toddlers, and did so for three hours, but everyone except for two teachers was sick in one of the "big kid" rooms. So I moved up there and did another 5 1/4 hours with the 3- through 5-year-olds. It was actually an enjoyable day. I'd think they'd need me in the "big kid" room tomorrow, but I haven't received a call yet.
