Usually when a story of a family that is poor and needs a Thanksgiving meal that they cannot afford, the media will report that a celebrity gives out turkeys to the needy so they can celebrate Thanksgiving and get some nice publicity in the process.
Thanks to the Fischer family who lives in Charlotte North Carolina, the two daughters of Lisa Fischer who are Alex, 9 and her younger sister Charlotte have raised around $1,120 dollars from lemonade stands and bake sales that is being donated to the Charlotte Rescue Mission or CRM, around 200 needy families will have a nice Thanksgiving meal this year.
It is nice to see a family in Charlotte to raise money through sales of lemonade and bake sales assist a local charity to be able to feed needy families in their community this year.
