Pentatonix is an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, which was formed in 2011. They won the 3rd season of NBC's "Sing-Off" and received $200,000 and a recording contract with Sony's Epic Records. Their style is pop with vocal harmonies, basslines, riffing, percussion and beatboxing. They cover pop and Christmas songs. My favorite, "Mary Did You Know", I will share as we get closer to Christmas.
After the "Sing-Off", Epic Records dropped the group. Pentatonix then formed their own YouTube channel, distributing its music through Madison Gate Records. Their YouTube channel currently has over 17 million subscribers and 4 billion views. They have won 3 Grammys.
The past couple of years they have had a Christmas special on television. Watch for it this year...they might have another. I will keep you posted if I see one.
Following is a cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody":

I didn't know about them until about 2-3 years ago. My husband and I both like them a lot. Yes, they are amazing!
