Their bodies lay where he had killed them. Asahi Geino was not prepared for the sight that would greet her when she walked into her daughter and son in law's house on December 31st of 2000. Mikio Miyazawa, his wife Yasuko and their two children Niina and were murdered by a person who would use their home as his own before vacating the premises. The person apparently ate some of their food, drank some of their tea, tended to his injuries, used the computer and then took a nap before he or she left. The intruder gained access through the second floor bathroom. He was able to strangle the boy before the father came to see what the commotion was. There was evidence that the man tried to defend himself, but was killed by a blade to the head. His wife and daughter were also killed in this way, though part of the blade was still stuck in the father / husband's head and so a knife from the home was used to kill the wife and daughter. The murderer has not been found, and may not be of Japanese nationality. More info:

I've read about a few others that were similar to this one. It's sad but very interesting.

@Butterfingers One of the others, the guy stayed outside of their home on a bench and watched them for days. I think that case was from Belgium.

I feel so sorry for the little old lady who came to check up on her daughter and grandchildren. I am sure it's a sight she can not unsee.
