International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women Shopping Reminder Day -- Do you have everything you need for the holiday? 1952 - Agatha Christie's murder-mystery play The Mousetrap opens in London and becomes the longest continuously-running play in history. 1984 - 36 top musicians gather in Notting Hill Studio and record Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?" to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia. 1960 - Amy Grant was born. She is an American singer, songwriter, musician, author and media personality. She made the transition from contemporary Christian music to pop in the 1980s and 1990s. Grant has received 6 Grammys and 22 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards and had the first Christian album to go platinum. She is well known for her Christmas CDs. One of her songs: "That's What Love Is For" (below) 1971 - Christina Applegate was born. She is an American actress, singer, dancer and producer. She is well known for her portrayal of Kelly Bundy in Married...With Children (1987-1997). Some of her movies: Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, The Big Hit, The Sweetest Thing, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Anchorman II, Hall Pass, Vacation and Bad Moms.
