I’m still in the middle of this one, but the storytelling is so good, I had to share it anyway.
Ingrid cannot know the life changing accident they are about to face when she heads to the Montana Territory with her Father, and her maid to deliver the small pox vaccines to a small mining town in the territory, but she can’t know this accident could very well destroy everything and everyone she loves.
Micah comes across the gruesome accident scene, he discovers Ingrid first, she’s unconscious and in bad shape, but alive, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the others in the accident, later he would come back to the sight of the accident to find that her little Bison Frisée survived the accident without serious injury, and he knows that the familiar little face might be just what Ingrid needs to let the healing begin..
The danger does not end there though, soon Micah and she are headed to the small town with the supplies but the journey is perilous, especially for Ingrid who has a broken leg, and a head injury, while heading to the town they come across a cabin, and discover a boy, and a woman, along with her injured husband who is on the verge of death, unfortunately the man doesn’t make it, making Micah once again question his doctoring skills, because he had been unable to save his wife and Child from Small Pox all those years before, and now he has a child and two women in his care, will they be able to make it to their destination, or die in the trying!

@Michellekidwell it's a fiction but the situation is based on what reality is.
