Fleetwood Mac is a British-American rock band formed in London in 1967. They have sold over 120 million records making them one of the world's best-selling bands. In 1970 they were more of a British blues band. In 1974, after major personnel changes, the band went to Los Angeles to look for a lead vocalist or guitarist. They were introduced to folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. This addition gave the band a more pop rock sound. In 1975 the album "Fleetwood Mac" reached #1 in the United States. One of the cuts from that album is "Rhiannon" (below): Their 2nd album with the new band members, "Rumours", produced 4 U. S. Top 10 singles; and the album remained #1 for 31 weeks and received a Grammy Award for Album of the Year. "Rumours" sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the 8th-highest-selling album in history. The band was active from 1967-1995 and 1996 to present. Photo Credit: Wikimedia Commons

I think Christine McVie has a much better voice than Stevie, but Stevie was always in front, so she gets more attention. Don’t like the way they excluded Bob Welch from the Hall of Fame induction list (every current or former member of Fleetwood Mac was inducted except him), and don’t like the way they canned Lindsey Buckingham.

I didn't know that they were active from 1967. I always thought of them as a later band.
