My latest incredible culinary invention. Am I going to be RICH?

I love Gatorade. At many gas stations here, you can buy two "large" bottles for $3.00 (or sometimes $3.33) or so. A bottle of Gatorade is perfect four a four mile hike. Or general hydration if you're cycling or drinking wine. But what it if I don't feel like driving to my local gas station? Or am just heading to work? Simple! Fill a Gatorade container up with water and add a bit of maple syrup and lime juice. It tastes like Gatorade and provides the same amount of hydration. What do you take with you when you go hiking?

When I am hiking, plain water that is cold is the best for me.

@TheHorse Gatorade is common for bikers here. They say that they need that for hydration since they expend so much energy and sweat.

@Alexandoy I wonder if the extra ingredients in Gatorade really matter. I do sometimes take a dash of salt before I hike or cycle.

Water is good. But I admit to liking the sodium and potassium that is in Gatorade.

I don't go hiking. However, if you like the concoction, right? Sometimes, I use maple syrup in the iced coffee. But, I like lemon in plain water as opposed to lime.

Maple syrup in iced coffee sounds good! And yes, a twist of lemon can work wonders with a nice cold glass of water.

@TheHorse Many years ago, I bought a small bag of fresh lime. I wanted to have fruit infused water in a water bottle with the lime. But, I just did not like.

Sounds like you've got a winner right there! Doubt hubby would drink it though. He is a fan of Propel water. Spoiled rotten brat.

Water. Water. Water. It's just about all I drink. Pure water: no sweeteners, no artificial additives, no ingredients. Just pure water. To me, it's the best tasting drink of all. It's the best hydrator of all. I don't understand why people can't drink water without sweetening it up or flavoring it. Why does everything have to be sweet? Or flavored? It's confusing to me.I love water and drink about a gallon of it a day.

I have never had Gatorade and perhaps you should patent your new drink. Perhaps something clever like Hiking Power. I have never gone hiking,

I hike a lot around here. What we really need is water. Adding a bit of sugar and lemon makes said water more tasty.

My surgeon wants me to drink a lot of it. I like it with ice or I part freeze the bottle. I never tried the maple syrup way.

Gadorade and that dollar Green Tea are my main "store bought" beverages. But water with a hint of lemon...or my amazing invention...are both pretty good and cost-effective.
