Day 121
Promise 170
Psalm 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they who know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them who seek thee.
Have you felt forgotten or abandoned? Have you looked for a safe haven or refuge when trouble surrounded you?
David knew where he could find refuge from the trouble that always surrounded him. He knew who he could trust and knew God would never forsake or abandon him.
As Christians, this is your promise too. God is your refuge from every trouble you face. God will never leave you or forsake you. You’re never alone when trouble surrounds you.
God first told Jacob He would never leave him but would bring him back to his homeland.
Genesis 28:15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou go, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. (KJV)
Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. (KJV)
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV)
If God said it, He will do it. His promises are always yes and amen. He will never abandon you when Satan surrounds you and brings every manner of evil against you. He will go before you and take care of your enemy.
Let’s pray: Father, help me against my enemy, Satan. His intentions are to bring fear of abandonment on me. Let me always remember You will never leave me or forsake me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Temptations are everywhere. It’s good to have the presence of mind with God’s guidance.
