After a long absence look who’s back on one of my top ten lists! That’s right, this drive down songs with “street” in the title has made a stop in San Francisco to pick up an old favorite. Here he is with today’s song. #5: Jump Street - Boz Scaggs But I’m not gonna talk about Boz. Y’all know how I feel about him anyway. Instead, let’s chat a little about his co-writer, David Paich. Paich is the co-founder of Toto, a band that began as Scaggs’ backing band. He’s also the son of the late Marty Paich, award-winning jazz and pop arranger. In fact, father and son won an Emmy together for the music score of an episode of Ironside in the 70s. Paich even has a country music credit: he wrote Glen Campbell’s song “Houston (I’m Comin’ to See You).” Guess he got to Houston as a song title before Jimmy Webb could.
