Did you ever heard about Peles Castle?

Maybe most of you never heard about Peles Casltle, but it is in Romania and it was built betwen 1873-1914 ( when the 1st world war stared) by Carol I,Romania s king. Peles Castle was the first castle in Europe that was fully illuminated with electricity. The electricity was produced by the castle's own installation. The castle's heating system was built in 1888 and is still operational today.

I know quite a few about ancient Roman Dacia and some history of the Principalities of Transylvania and Wallachia as well as the the Princes and rulers because I collect coins. I think I had come across Peles but never given it much thought, thanks for posting about it .

@crossbones27 No, Peles wasn t a man, that is the name which the architects gave to it. She is right, but never forget that Behind a strong man stands a stronger woman, so maybe we can say

Actually the architects were Karel Líman, Johannes Schultz, Wilhelm von Doderer, Carol Benesch, André Lecomte du Noüy, Jean Ernest Poyas, not romanians, but I am gland that the king bring them here to built the Castle.

Hey. I heard about Pele too, he was the greatest, actually is Peles Castle..you can try to find a picture, you would be surprised.
