Last night! I was rushing and walked over to the grocery store to get a few things. As I was leaving the store IO bent over to pick up my bag and noticed that my lanyard wasn't over my neck and I had been in a such a rush and I was only getting a few things so I just brought my wallet in my pocket. Therefore I didn't have my extra keys! So I called my daughter because she is the only one with another key. She said that her keys were in her fiance's car and he was at work. He works about 4 miles from here. My cell phone was almost dead and she tried to call me and I answered and it was ringing like I was calling her. That happened twice! When she finally got thru she told me that he couldn't even go to his car to see if the keys were in there for another half an hour! It's cold and the wind is picking up and I am hurting! My daughter tried to call our neighbor Denise that lives upstairs and she didn't answer. She asked me if her lights were on in her apartment. They weren't in the front. But that's where the bedrooms are in the apartments. One is her bedroom, no light on, the other bedroom is her son Joe's, no light on there. But I didn't expect his light to be on cause he was at work, he works at the grocery store. I saw him there, but for whatever reason he is not talking to me, hasn't for over 2 years.. See our buildings are security and I cannot even get in the hallway to keep relatively warm. So, I carried my bags down the street 2 buildings to start getting around back to see her living room window and no lights were on. That meant she was in bed or at her daughter's house. I looked and my next door neighbor's light's were on and I could see the man was sitting at the table. I knocked on his sliding glass door on the patio and he answered. I asked if I could walk thru to the hallway. I went in and my daughter called and said that the keys were in his car and that my youngest son was going to go get them and bring them to me.. They insisted that I stay in their apartment. She fixed me some homemade chicken soup, he fixed me yummy ginger tea and plugged my phone in till my son got there.
