Francis "Frank" Cross is a cynical and conceited television programming executive and President of the TV network IBC. He has amassed great wealth and success by being cold-hearted and arrogant. His focus on his career has alienated his family except for his brother James who he keeps at arm's length. James still loves his brother and invites him over for Christmas. Frank overworks his assistant, forcing her to continuously change plans and neglect her mute son.
Frank plans a live performance of "A Christmas Carol" -- and it's nothing like the original. He is not open to the spirit of Christmas but will the visit of three ghosts give him a change of heart?
If you want to see what happens, you will have to watch the movie. This is definitely a movie that is an alternative to the traditional holiday fare. Carol Kane is hilarious as the Ghost of Christmas Present. If you're looking for something really different, give "Scrooged" a try.
This movie is rated PG-13.
