Day 126 Promise 175 Psalm 11:4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. 5 The LORD tries the righteous: but the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates. 6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the righteous LORD loves righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright. Many people believe that God is too far away in heaven to notice what they do. They think they can do whatever they want without consequence. Yet, David showed that though God is in heaven, He sees everything people do and tries them as a judge, and brings trouble on the wicked. David also showed God delights in those who do right. As Christians, you see the wicked nature of mankind every day, and you see the favor God gives to those who trust in and believe in Him. With the one, he brings trouble and chaos to their lives. Trouble follows them everywhere they go. With those who love and trust in Him, He gives hope and joy even in the midst of trouble brought on by wicked people. What do you face today? Where does your hope lay? Let’s pray: Father, let Your love and favor rest on me as I trust You to take care of me when wicked people want to destroy Your plans for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
