Losing The Game Of Life Isn't An Option To Me ...

Christmas holidays are just around the corner. We aren't ready for them at all but ... then again, we really are. I know holidays aren't ... supposed to be about the money ... but, everyone I know seems to think that.
The more money you spend the better you are. Hey ... if so, I'm no good. I am rich in love, caring ... a big Heart. I hope these things will always be ... the world is getting meaner every day. One day there might not be room for people like Me. Then again ... I do think good can overcome the bad. I don't give up.
We don't have extra money to buy gifts ... bills are paid and we have food for us ... and for our Pups3, and some gas in our vehicles. You won't hear Me complaining ... never. I will always say I'm the most grateful person you will meet ... all I have to do is ... look back in my mind to all I've come through ... oh my. I'm so happy to be here in this moment.
We are doing good ... for that, we are truly thankful. We both have been on many journeys since I last wrote here ... and Life was chaotic, non-stop. I'm whispering now ... "I hope all will stay calm, happy and we have all we need to not want for anything ... most of all, good health'. I am smiling at this moment.
I know Life can play ball hard ... I have been in some games you would have thought I would have lost. I played ball hard ... not knowing all the rules but, played hard nevertheless. Hey, I think I did something right!
As time goes by ... and I enjoy once again sitting at my desktop computer (something I've rarely done in so long) ... I look forward to putting my Life in words again here. I have quite some stories. I will learn to write ... short ... stories as I can write very lengthy ones.
Just being here feels like a Hug ... it's been so long. Have you ever lived Life so hard to go on ... forget about many things until ... one day all calms down? For the past several years I have, Skip has ... done just that. It seemed 'everything' came out of the blue to challenge us.
The positive here is ... I have stories I can write about ... and we are still here and doing good. I write about how Life really is ... even the bad ... but, you will always see me write about it in a positive way. Why?
Because ... no matter what ... everything does get alright again. Yes, sometimes ... it does take years. Look at Me, gracious. I've lost everything over time ... I've lost most all my family including my only child, Tommy. Today ... I'm alright again.
I never knew I'd be alright again when I lost my son. But ... I made it back from that darkness. I live in the light again and no matter how hard ... nothing is as hard as losing one's child.
Saying that doesn't mean other things in Life doesn't hurt ... doesn't cause Me grief ... cause problems ... yes, they do. Guess what? When such is bothering Me ... causing such awful stress ... it at that moment ... hurts just as bad. I know you all know what I mean ... that's because we all live ... in the moment.
We all ... live in the moment. We are playing the game of Life as it tosses the ball to us ... it's up to us ... we either hit the ball or just lose the game. No matter how many times we strike to hit the ball ... it doesn't matter ... as long as we swing the bat. Laying down the bat, giving up ... losing the game of Life ... isn't an option. Not to Me.

I really do have a good attitude about Life ... even when so much can be really not good ... I know it really will be alright and I have to work harder to make it be better. Life has taught me so, so much.

"I will always say I'm the most grateful person you will meet ." Wrong! I am! :O)
My friends and I decided a few years ago no Christmas/Hanukkah gifts--IF we had any 'extra' money to use it for people who need things like food! Makes for a much better holiday!

@GrannyGee Nor should it be the same. You're doing very well with what life has handed you. By the way, that guy standing behind you is handsome too.

Wow, thank you, Valerie. I have discovered since I've become older it means the world when I am complimented ... thank you so much. That's one of the days I felt very good ... the days when I don't feel the best ... oh my
... I notice each day isn't the same.
