Harvard Law School graduate, Elle Woods, now lives in Boston with her fiance, Emmett Richmond, and has a job at a top legal firm. Elle wants Bruiser's (her Chihuahua) mother to be at her wedding; so she hires a detective to look for her. He finds her at C'est Manifique, a cosmetics company, in their animal testing laboratory - "We test makeup on animals so you don't have to." Elle finds out that her legal firm represents them; and when she asks the firm to drop them as a client, she gets fired.
Elle decides to put the wedding on hold and go to Washington D. C. as an animal rights advocate and fight for Bruiser's Bill to be passed which outlaws animal testing for cosmetics. Elle wants to have a "voice for those who can't speak". She ends up on the staff of U. S. Representative Victoria Rudd who is sponsoring an animal-rights bill. Doorman, Sidney, shows Elle how the system works and what she needs to get the bill passed. She will need to secure 218 votes for it to pass.
Does Bruiser's Bill pass? If you want to find out what happens, you will have to watch the movie. There is a big difference from the original movie to the sequel. The sequel has a lot more "fluff" than the original and is a lot less believable. "Legally Blonde 2" is not terrible to watch once; but it's not a movie that I would watch again and again.
This movie is rated PG-13.
