I have heard of birds hitting airplanes but I never knew why that happens.

It happened mostly at low altitude as birds flying here and there for searching food

@happylife1 I get it now since the airplane that landed in the Hudson River in New York City that made the pilot a hero for his amazing landing an airplane skills a national hero mentioned that the engine problem started in the air above New York City when a bird was swallowed into the engine of the airplane.
