Spotted snakes on the garden

Way back when I had a cat, I noticed something he was able to catch which seemed like a snake. It scared me a bit but I didn't see anything back then. Until last night I was done cleaning my small aquarium and tried to clean myself when I saw some sort of rope beside the sink. But shocked that it moved and I realized that it's a snake. I think there was two of them. They both moved fast. I feared if there's a small one, then there's a big one somewhere in the house.

My two cats were catching garden snakes last summer. We turned them loss over the fence.
