Possible 2 hour delay

I’m not going to tell my kids but they might have a 2 hour delay tomorrow which means sleeping in: it could go to a full day of no school possibly not a 100% sure till the bad weather actually hits. We might get about 1 inch of snow by morning if not just a bunch of rain that could turn to ice depending on how cold the morning gets.

That is one hazard during the Christmas season that school can be suspended due to the bad weather. I'm sure the kids are jubilating, waheehee.

Not just Christmas but all of the winter. Some times we have school canceled because of the cold temps outside. If it’s to cold for 5-6 year olds to wait at the bus stop then school will be delayed if it’s still to cold even after 2 hours they will call it a day for snow but we have a lot of snow days built in so it’s okay.

@ShyBear88 I can understand the cold outside because I have low tolerance for cold weather.

I remember as a kid how excited I would get when there was even a mention of the possibility of cancelling school. It's funny how eager kids are to miss a day of school, even though it has to be made up later!

They still get excited they asked to flush ice down the toilet and I told them we don’t have ice which is true we don’t have a working ice maker. But we did teach them the Grinch Story since I could find the snow day book.

@moffittjc haha you know kids superstitions like flush the toilet with ice, spin around in circles, read or watch certain books. They don’t understand weather that well yet.

Only time indeed. We will get a text and phone call if there is a delay or cancelation of school. Other wise school will happen as normal.
