Day 135
Promise 184
Psalm 23:1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
When life is hectic people look for the light at the end of the tunnel, hope that everything will be well again with no worry or chaos.
David knew where to find peace in times of trouble. He knew God would take care of him and lead him to safety. No matter what he went through, David trusted God to lead him. He saw God’s provision in the middle of battle.
What are you going through right now? What do you put your trust in to get you through your difficult times?
As Christians, you know God will bring calm in the middle of your battle. Whether you face sickness, disease, financial trouble, the death of a loved one, God will bring you through. He will give you peace beyond understanding.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
God will lead you in troubled times. You can trust Him to carry you when life overwhelms you. He will even turn your enemies into your friends.
Give your battle to Jesus and He will restore and refresh you.
Let’s pray: Father, restore my soul and lead me through the trouble and battles of my life. Refresh me with the water of restoration, and renew my hope as I give You praise. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
