Mumps... / myLot

My niece is suffering from mumps nowadays.She has a swollen cheek. My sister took her to the pediatrician.He prescribed some medicines and also asked to apply hot or cold packs. Any ones some remedies about this please let me know.

You can only relieve pain, make the immune system strong and I think prevent dehydration but there's no real remedy cause mumps is caused by a virus.
