National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

1946 - "It's a Wonderful Life", the popular Christmas movie, is released in New York City.
1957 - The Boeing 707 makes its first flight.
1973 - Bobby Darin passes away. He was born in 1936. He was an American singer, songwriter, actor of movies and television and instrumentalist. He played the piano, drums, guitar, harmonica and xylophone. He started his career writing songs for Connie Francis. In 1958 "Splish Splash" was released and became a million seller. He followed with Dream Lover, Mack the Knife and Beyond the Sea (see below). Darin was married to Sandra Dee.

Never got into "It's a Wonderful Life." "Miracle on 34th Street" is THE Christmas movie.

I prefer 34th Street too. Wonderful Life is depressing.
