We let them skip

It’s not often that we every let the kids just skip school. My husband and I talked about it made sure neither of the older two had any type of test today being there last day of this year. Neither do so a skip day it is. Just use 5 hanging out. Went to the movies, walked the mall and had lunch. Then went to store and then pet store. Dropped the kids off at there Grandmas house (they where good) then they came home and had pizza for dinner. Now all are fast asleep.

It was the last day of this part of the school year so they where not missing anything important we made sure of that first

I used to do that every now and then with my kids. But I told them that it would only happen if they kept their grades up. Thankfully, both of my kids were straight-A students, so I never had any worries about letting them skip school. And lots of times, I would let their teachers know ahead of time. Usually, when you have kids who are good students, the teachers will tend to look the other way when you break the rules! haha

Lol we decided last minute but they are in elementary so if they’re good to skip the last day before the holiday is the best

@ShyBear88 Yeah, it's not the end of the world if they skip in elementary school. It's not like it means they'll color outside the lines for the rest of their lives because they missed one day of elementary school.

@moffittjc yep! They both were suppose to have test but the tests got pushed into the second week in January after they return to school. So we felt no need to make them go for 6 hours when most of there classes where going to be doing nothing really
