The Progression of Music

I often think of how the way we listen to music has progressed through the years.
I remember listening to 78 rpm records played on a turntable (see above)...then it was 33-1/3 rpm and 45 rpm. 8-track and cassette tapes followed...all the way up to the CDs that we listen to today. Well, some of us still do. Many people just download their music onto another device.
Many people have gone back to vinyl records because they feel that vinyl records produce the best sound. Some people never left the vinyl era and continue to collect the old vinyl records.
Do you remember 78 rpm, 33-1/3 rpm and 45 rpm records?

Remember? I have some of all of the above in my possession still! I have a friend in Tennessee who makes cylindrical recordings of individuals, too!

Oh Yes! I do have a couple of very good Record players which can play 33 -1/3 rPM records and 45 RPM records and also a Gramophone which can play 78 RPM Records. Though I do have modern music equipment which can play music fron Pendrive, I also have some nive CD players, DVD players and Casette players and Spool tape recorders too! I love to be in that World and I take ut some time to take care of them when ever I feel so!

@LindaOHio , I have got a Garrard Record changer which is having a complicated mechanissm and is excellent functioning! I get mesmerized with the mechanisms rather than of its plying the music!

I think my dad had some old 78s in a box, but we never listened to them. For me, that setting on the record player was just for making my 45s sound funny!
