Why Am I Lacking The Confidence?

I am a Post Graduate Equine Veterinarian!
I am 60 years old man!
I am a very good Ventriloquist in India and I know the fact because I have contributed a lot to the the art of ventriloquism when I was young in India which was appreciated by one and all at that time.
I have already completed more than one thousand shows 30 years back and can boast that I have entertained the people of India who were sitting just 3 feet away from me and my dummy Johnny to enjoy my show!
Since I am very sincere I suffered from a heart attack and underwent a Angioplasty few months back!
Having dedicated my life for others for earning my livelihood now I thought of living for myself and my liking and first thing that struck was my liking for Ventriloquism which I undoubtedly like the most!
Today I have a very professional doll, Johnny with me along, with an extensive experience, and I wanted to utilize that to educate the people of India and to satisfy myself.
Though I know that things have changed with the time...I am confident to do so!
But when I get up in the morning I really feel that I lack that enthusiasm to relaunch myself as the same Ventriloquist as I use to be the one!
My Cardiologist tells me to lead a normal life and face the challenges of the life!
So I am really confused where I am getting wrong? Could you help me?

AKRao24, please do as you please as life is very short.
Of course you know not to exert yourself too much but please enjoy your life!!
You are a very nice person and I love that you have lived a good life of service to others.
Please do what makes you happy.

Wow! You have quoted my favorite quote that Life is too short and we hardly realize that to live happily!
I am a man of principles and knowingly I won't do any harm to any one... yes now I think having done justice to every one including my family, employer, friends and the part of the society, it is the turn to do justice to myself now!
And for that I am trying to do what ever I can keep happy for myself!

It's nice to see you. Honestly, I am in the same boat as you are . My thing is writing, though. My advice is to do what you love. The more you do it, that confidence will come back.

@AKRao24 I'm 29 now and sometimes I too feel so.I think it's transient.Do you feel energetic for the rest of the day.From what you say about yourself in this post it is obvious that you are brimming with energy and self confidence.

In fact there is no problem even if I get retire right now and live withput any other job! But the thing is that since I am working with a private organization the management will nt interested in leaving me as my job is a specialized one and another thing is that Ventriloquism is my passion and I love to stage the shows to entertain tyhe audience and also myself!
