Coming Home for Christmas

My son is coming home for Christmas and I am so excited. For me Christmas is all about family and without them it would be a gloomy one. I know there is a lot of talk about the dreaded family squabbles at the holiday or Christmas dinner table but I certainly have not experienced that. When I think family and Christmas I am reminded of one of my favorite Christmas songs The Spirit of Christmas by Ray Charles.

the youngest'n family 're comin', jest fer a couple 'f hours. the hubs 's 'lways determined to ruin holidays, birthdays, anniversaries the best he can. most oft he stays home drunk.

@Freelanzer i've yet to find all 'f his stashes, they're scattered throughout his 'schtuff - which encompasses 3 garages, 2 barns 'n a shop.... trust me, i've hunted fer those bottles! don't matter though, he jest goes'n gets more.
i'm gonna, he'll not ruin 'nother holiday fer's.

I guess you need to find a way to hide those drinks for a few hours but I know that won't go over too well. Anyway hope you enjoy the family visit.

I was hoping my daughter and her husband would come home this year but they had a problem and won't be able to now. I am disappointed but I will see them in the New Year.
