Hanukkah began at sunset last night. National Pfeffernusse Day 1947 - The transistor is first demonstrated at Bell Laboratories. 1954 - The first successful kidney transplant is performed. 1946 - Susan Lucci was born. She is an American actress that played Erica Kane on All My Children from 1970 until the show's cancellation in 2011. As early as 1991 she reportedly was making more than $1 million dollars a year. After 18 failed Emmy nominations, she won in 1999. 1971 - Corey Haim was born. He was a Canadian actor best known for his role in Lost Boys. Some of his other movies: Lucas, Silver Bullet, Murphy's Romance and License to Drive. He died in 2010. Photo Credit: Pixabay
