Is it wrong to have more than a cat in a house?

I had a discussion with my brother. And I also talked to my mother. They don't allow me to have more than a cat in a house. I wanted 2 cats. My brother told me to find another passion. Is my passion for cats so wrong?

I once lived in a house where there was as many cats as there were people. I do not think it's wrong to have many pets, provided you have the finances to pay for their food, water and litter as well as any vet bills.

They don't eat much. But the vet bills are expensive.

@dya80dya I know, or have known some people who do not take their cats to the vet very often, if at all. They take their dogs to the vet more.

My sister would have a million cats she loves them. Once I had a Mother in Law who had many wild cats in her house.

Wild cats in her home? Were they feral?

As far as I’m concerned, three cats would be perfect. However, it’s their rules and your mother’s house.

Yes. My mother would accept more than a cat. But my father wouldn't accept a second cat.

You can never have too many cats, 'course the problem is feeding and looking after them all!

Feeding is not a problem. They don't eat much.
