While I am mylotting and doing other things online, eating a quick TV dinner I am watching a movie, "Wonder" on Starz channel that I am getting for free. It is staring Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson. This couples child was born with a scarred face and they never put him in public or private school. The child is about 9 or 10 now and he wears a helmet with a black visor covering his face. I think the helmet is more of an attention getter than his face. His face only has scars and what looks like some swelling on it and in the movie EVERYONE is looking at the kid. I really don't see that happening in real life. But the one thing that puzzled me was until now he was homeschooled. His mother wanted him to go to public school and the father was saying no and she said ,"Well I can't keep homeschooling him forever!" I was thinking ,"Huh?" First off people don't go to school forever! I do know some people who make their career being a student, lol. But that is by their choice. Kids go to school for 13 years and some are homeschooled. Then some of them go to college. College can be done online too. Have you seen this movie or been homeschooled.

It's a pretty good movie! But it appears the boy too had a little growth of skin on the side of his face too.

I think that "I can't keep homeschooling him forever" was just her way of expressing her exasperation. I also think that most people would not be staring, atleast not for long. I was reading a book once that featured a man who had a scar running down his face. His father kept him hidden away for his whole life, and the people who did get to see him weren't allowed to show any kind of sympathy for him. He spent his whole life thinking the scar was a big thing, but it wasn't. It was a relatively minor scar.
