An owner of a cat named Eva who disappeared from her sight after Hurricane Irma separated the couple found two years ago was able to reunite with her pet cat thanks to officials with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office who took in the feline to be taken care of on Thursday.
The officials at the sheriff's office used Facebook to try to contact the owner of Eva who had been identified by the veterinarian who found out the Eva had been microchipped by her owner when Eva was younger.
The owner had read the news on Facebook that her cat was located at the headquarters of the sheriff's office. The reunion of Eva and her owner took place on Friday.
It is nice to know that a reunion of a cat and her owner took place two years after Hurricane Irma passed over Tampa Florida in 2017.

Micro chipping a pet is one good way to assist a veterinarian to locate the missing pet.

I know what you mean since the odds of a cat reuniting with her owner after two years after a hurricane hit Tampa is like hitting the jackpot in the lottery. An awesome feeling.

I am so happy that they were reunited again and that they were both ok after that horrible hurricane. I bet that put a smile on the owner's face.
