Reflecting on Recent Holidays

I have always enjoyed Thanksgiving and the Xmas holiday. I love a turkey dinner with all of our favorite family fixings & desserts. Enjoying Thanksgiving with family and friends we love is the best feeling ever. Surrounded by good food and the feeling of being loved warms the heart. Then comes Xmas with the running, shopping, wrapping & baking my favorite cookie & candy recipes. My peanut butter balls I have beeen making for 35 years. I pick up all different holiday plates during the year and have a great time arranging my candy and adding colorful wrapped candy to give the plate color. I wrap and decorate the plates with ribbons, berries, greens or bows. A labor of love. Xmas Eve we gather at our youngest daughter's house and have fun playing Xmas trivia and have a delicious buffet including many favorite recipes of those attending. Beautiful evening always. Xmas day a nice ham dinner, cake, pies and some Xmas cookies. Now that everything is over and we are ready to start a new year I am reflecting on the past two Holidays that filled my heart with joy.
