New Year New hopes.. but no out of the way expectations

So the new Year 2020 begins. A new beginning. New hopes.
Yet, no out of the way expectations for me.
This is because, in reality, things continue from the previous year 2019.
So the good and the bad things continue from there.
The year 2019 was a mixed baggage for me, but I would say that it was tilted slightly more towards things that tested me, and even made me sad. Yet perhaps God tests us to see how we face up, and perhaps better things are in store for us.
Anyhow, it is the practical effort that counts the most.
Let me see how things turn up this new year, and first of all, the first month of January.
By the way, I did not ask you folks as to what are you thinking or planning?

I consider all our 'tests' to be in preparation for something bigger and better to follow. I take each day, week, month and year as it comes. If I feel something no longer serves my highest good, I let it go. That includes people.
