One day after University I was walking to the shops to meet my mother to do some grocery shopping. At one stage I became aware of footsteps behind me I looked around and saw a gorgeous woman with blue eyes, amazing red hair in jeans and a button up shirt. We walked like that for a few minutes still hearing her footsteps I turned my head "lovely evening isn-" I paused mid sentence realising this beautiful woman was no longer behind me. My arms erupted in goosebumps and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. There was nowhere the woman could have gone to disappear from sight so quickly she couldn't have ducked into the house nor crossed the road. I stopped in the middle of the foot path my heart pounding I shook it off. The next day I went to Bones' house (yes the boyfriend again). I was laying with my head on his chest and I mentioned the woman I had seen and how her presence was so calming until she seemed to disappear off the face of the earth. Bones chuckled and told me to describe her. I told him about the woman I had seen and how pretty she was. He asked me if the woman looked healthy or sick and frail. I said she looked healthy and looked up at him. I was surprised to find his eyes filled with tears I asked him what was wrong. His voice cracking he said "you just described my mum perfectly." My arms erupted in goosebumps and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up just like they had the day before. He showed me the photo and the whole world seemed to stop as I looked at a photograph of the woman I had seen on the street. I told this story to other people and by this stage they say "why doesn't he just go and find her? You could help him" the thing his his mother died over 10 years ago from lung cancer that infiltrated every organ in her body. Her ashes were scattered off of a cliff face at a beach. Bones told me that his mother has been known to appear in dreams of girls he has dated but always as a corpse like figure as it turns out those girls were all cheating on him. To me though she appeared happy and healthy. I will never forget that day. I must say that before the day I was with Bones I had never seen a photo of his mother he had never even described her.
