Do you guys watch those short little clips you can find on facebook and youtube? the instructional "hack" type tips that you usually just laugh at because their so asburd?
Well I do, even though I know now that the parent company that owns this is affiliated with, well ya know what? I'm not going to say.. I'm gonna make this THAT type of discussion.
You take a bag that you want to Vacuum seal and you put a straw in the bag then suck the straw like you are trying to drink a milkshake with a too small straw. It actually does vacuum seal pretty well, but it does take a deep inhalation to get it work.
Have you ever tried an instruction based off of a video and found that it didn't work?

There are several video channels on youtube that give tips. Some of that are simply silly and require things you don't normally carry on your person.

@sharonelton Very complicated sometimes. Atleast some of the "quick fixes" are. Not to mention some of the things they use. Women's sanitary tissues for one!

I am definitely going to keep this method in mind for other things. We used to have a vacuum sealer but it broke and we never got another. This is cheaper.

Yikes, that sound like risking inhaling whatever it is that you are trying to seal, at least for me 
I know I will eventually need to suck in air and goodness knows I will also suck whatever is in the bag. Or worse, I will probably blow air into the bag and further contaminate it.
I do watch some short clips for fun, especially during the holidays when waiting for my baked goods for instance. Most of these are all clean fun and entertaining.

I am not going to lie, I sucked in a little bit of the cornbread. I still think it's worth it, provided you can put the straw in a clean area. I should have done that, but as soon as I felt it come up the straw I just said "oh well, it's just a little" and then drank some water afterwards.
Yes, those videos are all clean fun and entertaining, but maybe shouldn't all be followed. I do like the ones where they show neat creations out of things like polymer clay.

Most of them are just silly and useless. Some of the sewing ones seem valid though.

Yes, most of them are so silly and most of them require things you just do not carry on your person with any regularity. Also, some of them are so absurd.
