I get to see so much more of the day, well I do when the night disappears to make way for the light! For 2 days now I have been up at 4.30am automatically,no alarm, basically because the cold I have has produced a cough which sets off at this time in the mornng! But I am getting so much more done, I feel quite energetic even with a cold. I can guarantee though that when I everyone goes back to school and work next week and I HAVE to get up at 4.30am, I won't want too! How about you?

@gemini_rose @Shivram59 You can praise getting up early as much as you like. I'm not listening. I hate mornings! I'm retired and enjoy getting up late. I used to be a teacher. School in our town starts at 7.35 am. Pure horror! I don't know how I survived 40 years of service. I live near one of the schools where I was a teacher. Still lying in bed when the bell rings for the long break after the second lesson is pure bliss!! What I dislike very much indeed is that early risers always know that their way is the right one and that they feel they have to preach and give late risers qualms of conscience.

Aww bless you, you deserve to have the enjoyment of getting up when you please, and wow 40 years as a teacher, I respect it greatly. By trade I am a special needs teaching assistant, I worked in a primary school for over 6 years, a new head came in and she bullied me and about 50 others out. I am debating going for teaching, but feel I may be too old at 46. As for preaching to a late riser, absolutely not, I am just impressed that I have got up so early and felt so energetic! Believe me, I can guarantee the novelty will not last.

@gemini_rose How can you consider 46 as too old? I was a teacher up to the age of 64. If you feel like going back to school and teaching, go for it!

@MALUSE I think you can enjoy your life more if you get up early in the morning. But that's what I think.Your opinion may be much different.Everyone has their own way of life and all are free to follow them.If you feel getting up late enables you to enjoy ,go on with it.

I am trying hard to follow the adage "Early to bed and early to rise".

Why are you trying hard? Forget it. Do what suits you best. People have different biorhythms and one is not better or worse than the other.

I feel lazy getting out of bed early. Like it's already 7 am here and need to be at work by 7 but still stretched out in bed. It's a cooler morning than usual.

My brain works better in those morning hours when everyone else is deep in bed covers. I like the quietness in early morning hours, then the birds that sings to rise up the people. It all brings peace of mind and acceptance that a new day has come.

That always seems to be the case when we would rather sleep, but can’t. I enjoy getting up early to do my walks or go to the gym. Then the day is free to do what I want.
