I remember when I was young I sometimes went to stay with my Grandma and Grandad Brown. Grandad Brown used to work down the pit and one day we were going to go and meet him off the bus when he came home from work. I decided to go in my pretty purple nightie! My Grandad Brown thought it was my proper dress.
I also remember when my Grandad Brown used to take me to the pub. I wasn't allowed into the main pub as I was too young but we'd just go into the entrance hall where there was a kiosk selling crisps and we'd get some crisps from there.

I can remember the days when you could buy crisps from the pub kiosk. These crisps seemed to taste nicer than they do today. Were these the same crisps that would come unsalted with a small blue packet full of salt that you could add to the crisps yourself?

Well, they could have been, but I think they were your average walkers.

@sharonelton I think that the crisps I can remember were made by Smiths.

@lazydaizee Ah yes. I do remember those, but they weren't the ones my Grandad got me from the pub.
