"Plan 9 From Outer Space" is a science fiction horror film that was released in 1959. It was written, directed, produced and edited by Ed Wood. In 1980 this film was awarded 2 Golden Turkey Awards for the Worst Director Ever and the Worst Film. "Plan 9" is just one of Ed Wood's movies that has a cult following. CAST Gregory Walcott - Jeff Trent Mona McKinnon - Paula Trent Duke Moore - Lt. John Harper Tom Keene - Col. Tom Edwards Carl Anthony - Patrolman Larry Paul Marco - Patrolman Kelton Tor Johnson - Inspector Daniel Clay Dudley Manlove - Eros Joanna Lee - Tanna John Breckenridge - The Ruler Lyle Talbot - Gen. Roberts David De Mering - Danny Norma McCarty - Edith Bill Ash - Captain Rev. Lynn Lemon - Minister at Clay's Funeral Ben Frommer and Gloria Dea - Mourners Conrad Brooks - Patrolman Jamie Maila Nurmi (Vampira) - Vampire Girl Bela Lugosi - Old Man/Ghoul Man Criswell - Himself/Narrator Criswell, the Narrator, introduces the story about Grave Robbers From Outer Space and whether viewers can stand the shocking truth. Several people are gathered around a grave for a funeral of an old man's wife. The old man is led away; and the others follow. As the gravediggers begin their job, a plane passes overhead, heading for Burbank, California. The pilot, Jeff Trent, and co-pilot, Danny, are talking. Suddenly they see a flying saucer. (Please note the technologically advanced flying saucers in the trailer.) It heads toward the graveyard and lands. The gravediggers see a vampire woman coming toward them. A scream is heard off-camera. I'm a connoisseur of bad movies...especially science fiction movies. I like the ones that are so bad that they're good. "Plan 9" is one of those movies. Ed Wood always had a ragtag group of actors, a small budget and lofty aspirations for his movies and himself as a director. Wood was a "use-the-first-take-and-done" type of director. The first takes always looked good to him..and so did his actors. He often used stock footage to fill in the gaps in his movies. If you love a good-bad movie or are just curious about Ed Wood as a writer/director/producer/editor, then give "Plan 9" a try. This movie is Not Rated. Photo Credit: Pixabay
One of the greatest movies ever....the trailer does it good justice.

Thanks. "Ed Wood" is another good movie about the guy that was behind a lot of those really bad movies.

I can bet I seen this one, I used to watch all the sucky space and horror films when I was young, just for laughs.

It seems an old movie as I don't know any of the actors. I have not seen this one.
