I have started a blog on a free blog site in order to save money and because I find that it is an easier one for me to work with.

It comes with an address, but it's not a plain dot com , dot net , etc. But I have the option to purchase a domain. Hmmmm? What should I do?

I use mylot as a blogging site. It doesn't cost anything.

@dfollin You cannot put links that earn you money in any. You can put links to youtube videos and the like.

I purchased my domain for $12/year; but I opted to abandon my blog because it wasn't making any money. So, the domain purchase depends on how much time and effort you plan on putting into your blog.
