Even though 38 residents of the Pacers River Apartments lost their homes after that began last night that is currently under investigation by the authorities, the good news is that thanks to the teamwork of a local sheriff who knocked on the doors inside the burning apartment in the nick of time, no one was injured. An unsung hero is the maintenance man named Charles Lemon who rescued a nine year old child and his puppy dog who were inside their bathroom at the time of the fire. Before we paint his mother as the villain, she tried to find a babysitter to watch over child before she went to work. The mother of the nine year old boy and his pup did hurry home from work as soon as the report of the fire at her home happened. Charles watched over the nine year old boy and the pup until Amanda reunited with her son at their burned down apartment. The Rock Hill Fire Department were able to put out the fire. They will be doing an investigation on the cause of the fire. Not to worry about those residents that lost their homes, the American Rec Cross will provide some temporary housing for them.

It is sometimes a bad coincidence that no one was left with the boy and there was a fire. Fortunately there was the rescuer otherwise poor boy, poor puppy.

@Deepizzaguy it's just a stroke of fate for the fire to occur in such a situation.

I agree with you since the mom did try to find a babysitter for the child which failed to be accomplished.

I am sure that Charles will receive some kind of award from either the local media or the police or the mayor's office.

Losing a home is a very thing to happen to anyone. However a home can be rebuilt while a life cannot be replaced.
