Rock Love, Day 10: Tunnel of Love

In anticipation of Valentines Day I’m presenting 45 songs with “love” in the title. I’m counting down 45 “love” songs in country music as well. For those who were a little put off by the 80s new wave yesterday (and are always put off by the country music 
) here’s something a little more “traditional.”
Tunnel of Love - Dire Straits
Hope you weren’t expecting the Springsteen song. That isn’t going to happen.
So which would I pick from this album, this one of “Expresso Love”? Tough call; and, if I were doing more songs (and repeating artists) I’d use both.
Boy, side one of this album is long! That was common in those days: just three songs. (Steely Dan’s Aja also has three songs on side one.) But three classics: “Skateaway,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and this one.
Great song. Great album. Great band.

This is different from the Tunnel of Love recorded by Doris Day for the movie of the same name in the 60s (I think). I don't recognize this one. I have heard of Dire Straits.
